Physiology drives psychology

Journey into the inner workings of the human experience.

Participants will learn to:

  • navigate the terrain of your mind

  • draw connections between physical sensations and emotional states

  • understand how physiological cues, such as elevated heart rate or tense muscles, drives underlying psychological patterns.

Through gentle inquiry and compassionate listening, breathing exercises, mindfulness techniques, and ancient philosophies, unravel these connections, and foster greater self-awareness and insight.

Understand the "body-mind loop" – the notion that our physical experiences shape our thoughts and emotions, and vice versa.

  • You have helped me work through some of my excess baggage and you have allowed me to have a voice. I am so much better now that I have started to be coached by you.

    - Bronwyn

  • I feel you have helped me to make some great decisions and the strategies you have given me have really improved my quality of life in a short timeframe.

    - Sue

  • What I loved most about our catch-ups, were the practical tools Carly was able to offer to almost any challenge I threw her. Each session I walked away with something I could implement. I found Carly to be particularly skilled at knowing what to offer to what situation.

    - Fiona

  • Working with Carly was truely an invaluable experience. I had finally felt a sense of clarity and insight to the life I had been so eager to lead, after years of exploring a range of different approaches that unfortunately didn’t work for me. Carly’s personable and whole hearted approach was hugely affective. She has gifted me with knowledge and tools to better my life.

Struggles consume us,

Life's beauty eludes our grasp,

Joy waits unnoticed.

Hi, I’m Carly

I’m a multidisciplinary coach helping people live their best lives—even when life is a struggle.

My approach allows you to discover your core values and purpose, and my practical tools help you navigate the inevitable challenges that life will bring.

I’m certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Japanese Psychology (think Morita Therapy and Naikan ), and have a podst-grad degree in nutrition, as well as certifications as a Personal Trainer and Health Coach (courtesy of IIN). I am also currently studying a Masters in Counselling.

With over a decade in behaviour change, I understand that mindset, nutrition, movement, and sleep are not just boxes to tick.

These domains are  interconnected threads weaving the tapestry of your wellbeing. You can't address one without considering the others. That's my mantra.

I’m a proud mama to Ceara and Oscar, married to Paul, and devoted human to two fur babies, Zula and Soxi.

Catch me every Mojo Monday on the Paul Taylor podcast. You can also check out my interviews with Craig Harper, Dr Jodi Richardson, Lisa Tamati and Paul Taylor here.

My coaching is for people who are:

  • Stuck

  • Overwhelmed

  • Overthinkers

  • Anxious

  • Self-sabotaging

  • Overweight

  • Lacking purpose.
