Skills for life. what you’ll build
Some of what people work on with me:
Understanding anxious or overwhelmed feelings, rather than just reacting to them
Getting clear on what matters to you
Working with worry, anger and self-doubt so they don’t dictate your life
Handling pressure — in exams, sport, performance or day-to-day life
Building the everyday habits (sleep, movement, routine) that support how you think and feel

Individual Counselling and Coaching
One-on-one sessions for young people (9–25) and adults. We start by making sense of what's going on — the emotions, the beliefs underneath them, the patterns that keep repeating. Nothing you bring is too big, too small, or too messy. Then we put that understanding to work: building the skills to handle challenges, act on what matters, and meet the hard parts of your life . You'll feel heard. You'll also leave each session with more direction.

Speaking & Workshops
Talks and interactive workshops for schools, sporting clubs and workplaces. Practical sessions on handling pressure, understanding emotions, and performing when it counts; whether that's a year ten cohort, a squad before finals, or a leadership team. Participants leave with skills they can use straight away.
“...inspiring and moving presentation... so engaged with the concepts you presented…”
I'm Carly Taylor — counsellor and mental fitness coach, ACA and HCANZA registered, with a Master of Counselling.
Most of my week is spent with young people and adults, in my Mornington rooms or over Zoom, working on the things nobody formally teaches: what to do when your mind turns on you, how to work with your emotions, how to handle pressure and work out what you actually care about.
My approach draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Japanese Psychology (Morita Therapy) and the evidence-based process of hardiness to build resilience.
Sessions focus on strengthening emotional and thinking skills for everyday life. Where helpful, we may also explore how sleep, movement, breathing, and daily routines influence mood, stress, attention, and resilience.
The work is person-centred and collaborative, with an emphasis on building strength and capacity over time so you can meet life as it is and continue moving forward in meaningful ways.
Whatever you're carrying, we take the time to sit with it and understand it properly — and then we use what we find to move you toward the person you want to be.
“The goal isn’t to eliminate struggle—it’s to live with more strength, clarity, and purpose.”
